Story
ING grew policy and claims faster than the local tools around it. From the Netherlands, financials teams still had to serve customers and internal partners who expected a straight answer. Underwriters and claims handlers were the ones stitching the picture together by hand.
Rolling out Guidewire Cloud put insurance operations on Guidewire. Guidewire makes core insurance software for policy, billing, and claims used by property and casualty carriers. ING keeps the product in the path where work already happens, so underwriters and claims handlers do not context-switch into a graveyard system used only for audits.
The visible result is steadier insurance operations. Policy and claims is easier to inspect, and adjacent groups can join underwriters and claims handlers without a guided tour of someone's desktop.
