Rolling out Haiku put care delivery on Epic Systems. Epic Systems is the leading electronic health record vendor for hospitals and clinics, with MyChart for patient access. Abbott Laboratories keeps the product in the path where work already happens, so clinicians and HIM do not context-switch into a graveyard system used only for audits.
The visible result is steadier care delivery. Clinical records is easier to inspect, and adjacent groups can join clinicians and HIM without a guided tour of someone's desktop.
