Story
Yamaichi Electronics did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed engineering design to move. In the United States, design engineers already knew where product design went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
Sigrity from Cadence is now in that path. Cadence Design Systems supplies computational software for integrated circuit, system, and PCB design used by electronics companies. The company treats it as production tooling for engineering design, which is why design engineers live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
