Story
Uniqlo grew workload migration faster than the local tools around it. From Japan, consumer discretionary teams still had to serve customers and internal partners who expected a straight answer. Migration squads were the ones stitching the picture together by hand.
Rolling out IBM watsonx put datacenter exit planning on IBM. IBM offers hybrid cloud, AI, and automation software, including watsonx, Red Hat OpenShift, and observability products for large enterprises. Uniqlo keeps the product in the path where work already happens, so migration squads do not context-switch into a graveyard system used only for audits.
The visible result is steadier datacenter exit planning. Workload migration is easier to inspect, and adjacent groups can join migration squads without a guided tour of someone's desktop.
