Story
Trip.com Group did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed data platform operations to move. In China, data engineers already knew where analytics hosting went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
Looker from Google Cloud is now in that path. Google Cloud provides infrastructure, analytics, and AI services, including BigQuery and Vertex AI, for data-heavy and machine learning workloads. The company treats it as production tooling for data platform operations, which is why data engineers live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
Trip.com Group can show how analytics hosting is handled today. That is the value: a repeatable way to run data platform operations on software the rest of the industry already recognizes.
