Story
Shopify did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed customer service operations to move. In Canada, agents and team leads already knew where case handling went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
Data Cloud from Salesforce is now in that path. Salesforce is the enterprise customer relationship platform for sales, service, marketing, and customer data, with Slack as the collaboration layer. The company treats it as production tooling for customer service operations, which is why agents and team leads live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
Shopify can show how case handling is handled today. That is the value: a repeatable way to run customer service operations on software the rest of the industry already recognizes.
