Story
Inside Samsung SDI, planning and forecasting used to depend on whoever still had the latest file. That pattern is common in information technology groups working out of South Korea. FP&A needed a system that would still make sense after the original project team moved on.
Samsung SDI uses TurboTax from Intuit as the working layer for financial planning. Intuit builds financial software for consumers and small and midsize businesses, including QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mailchimp, and Credit Karma. The practical change is simple: planning and forecasting has a home, and reviews happen there instead of in a forwarded thread.
