Story

Panasonic grew procurement and payables faster than the local tools around it. From Japan, consumer discretionary teams still had to serve customers and internal partners who expected a straight answer. Procurement and AP were the ones stitching the picture together by hand.

Rolling out Oracle Cloud ERP put source to pay on Oracle. Oracle delivers enterprise applications, databases, and cloud infrastructure, including Fusion Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Panasonic keeps the product in the path where work already happens, so procurement and AP do not context-switch into a graveyard system used only for audits.

The visible result is steadier source to pay. Procurement and payables is easier to inspect, and adjacent groups can join procurement and AP without a guided tour of someone's desktop.
