Microchip Technology did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed cloud security review to move. In the United States, cloud security engineers already knew where cloud misconfigurations went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
Ranger from SentinelOne is now in that path. SentinelOne is an autonomous cybersecurity platform for endpoint, identity, and cloud detection and response. The company treats it as production tooling for cloud security review, which is why cloud security engineers live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
Microchip Technology can show how cloud misconfigurations is handled today. That is the value: a repeatable way to run cloud security review on software the rest of the industry already recognizes.
