ITCITC Brings Software Delivery onto OpenAI
ITC, a consumer staples organization in India, uses OpenAI API from OpenAI to support engineering for developers.
A OpenAI API rollout at ITC took engineering out of inboxes and into a named queue.
“Developers needed a system that would still make sense after the original project team moved on.”
“OpenAI develops foundation models and ChatGPT Enterprise, used by companies to build assistants, analyze documents, and speed knowledge work.”

Story
Inside ITC, engineering used to depend on whoever still had the latest file. That pattern is common in consumer staples groups working out of India. Developers needed a system that would still make sense after the original project team moved on.
ITC uses OpenAI API from OpenAI as the working layer for software delivery. OpenAI develops foundation models and ChatGPT Enterprise, used by companies to build assistants, analyze documents, and speed knowledge work. The practical change is simple: engineering has a home, and reviews happen there instead of in a forwarded thread.
Nothing in this writeup invents a savings number. What ITC gets from OpenAI is a durable place to run engineering and a way for developers to see the same software delivery at the same time.
