Story
SoFi did not need another dashboard that nobody opened. It needed insurance operations to move. In the United States, underwriters and claims handlers already knew where policy and claims went wrong: too many copies, too little ownership, and a close process that waited on the loudest inbox.
Guidewire Cloud from Guidewire is now in that path. Guidewire makes core insurance software for policy, billing, and claims used by property and casualty carriers. The company treats it as production tooling for insurance operations, which is why underwriters and claims handlers live in it rather than exporting from it once a quarter.
SoFi can show how policy and claims is handled today. That is the value: a repeatable way to run insurance operations on software the rest of the industry already recognizes.
