Story
FedEx grew workload migration faster than the local tools around it. From the United States, industrials teams still had to serve customers and internal partners who expected a straight answer. Migration squads were the ones stitching the picture together by hand.
Rolling out Google Cloud put datacenter exit planning on Google Cloud. Google Cloud provides infrastructure, analytics, and AI services, including BigQuery and Vertex AI, for data-heavy and machine learning workloads. FedEx keeps the product in the path where work already happens, so migration squads do not context-switch into a graveyard system used only for audits.
The visible result is steadier datacenter exit planning. Workload migration is easier to inspect, and adjacent groups can join migration squads without a guided tour of someone's desktop.
