Story
Communication Services work at ByteDance spans more than one site, even when headquarters sits in China. Cloud landing zones was splitting across regional habits. Infrastructure and application teams asked for a shared way to run platform operations without freezing local judgment.
Red Hat (Ansible Automation) is what they standardized on. Red Hat, an IBM company, provides enterprise open source platforms, including RHEL, OpenShift, and Ansible, for hybrid cloud. ByteDance uses it as the system of record for cloud landing zones, with infrastructure and application teams as the primary operators and other groups coming in through the same queue.
